Basic Rules for Healthy and Shiny Hair

While looking through a magazine or watching TV’s advertisements you get convinced that you need to buy as much hair styling products as possible to have a gorgeous look. It is not so. You can easily have beautiful hair spending little time and money. Consider the following recommendations that were successfully tried and have proved their effectiveness:

1)  Use an appropriate shampoo for your scalp. On the scalp hair gets dirtiest because of the natural oils secreted by your skin. Suds up and a shampoo put on your hair makes your scalp oily, dry, normal, or dandruff-prone. Put shampoo on your scalp and be sure that the suds clean your hair along all the length, then rinse the hair.

2) Use an appropriate conditioner for your hair type, not for scalp type. People with dry hair should apply a rich, moisturizing conditioner. In the case of limp and fine hair one should apply a volumizing conditioner. If you have generally healthy and shiny hair, apply a conditioner for normal hair.

3) It is recommended to deep-condition once a week. Choose a light-textured hair mask that provides your hair with moisture. People with fine hair should apply the mask in the shower instead of your regular conditioner. In the case of hair drier on sides one should use the mask after having a shower. Keep the mask for an hour or even more.

4) Treat hair gently. Many hairstylists want hair to be a delicate fabric. If you don’t want to have damaged hair, you should brush it with a wide-tooth comb only when it is dry. As soon as you have had a shower one should detangle it beginning with ponytails. Don’t use elastics with metal closures. Don’t catch hair under a bag or purse strap.

5) Use simple styling. It is quite enough for most women to apply one to two styling products for the creation of beautiful cuts. If you are eager to provide your hair with lift and volume (in the case of having naturally fine hair), one should use a mousse from roots of hair to ends.

6) In the case you have hair dry on the side use a small quantity of leave-in conditioner to ends. If you want to have volume, style with a blow-dryer. In the case of curly, thick, or textured hair one should use a gel throughout strands and style as usual. So you will have more hold hair. At the end of the procedure use a small dab of leave-in conditioner. Put it on dry hair to nix flyaways and frizz.

7) It is recommended to have hair trimmed regularly to avoid having split ends, dryness, and bleached-out bits at bay. Trim your hair every four to six weeks, as soon as your hair gets long.
