| The Choice of a Hairstyle | The choice of a hairstyle depends on the shape of your face.
An oval face. Owners of oval faces may breathe with relief. They have the perfect face shape for which all hairstyles are suitable. If you want to draw attention to your chin or cheekbones, try layers near them. But be careful with hairstyles which add volumes to the top of the head as it makes the face look longer.
A long face. People with a long or oblong face should add width to your face creating the illusion of width to balance it out. It can be done with long, side-swept bangs, chin-length bobs or with curls and waves framing the face. If you have this type of face you should not have extremely long or extremely short hair because they take the width from your face and emphasize its length.
A round face. People with round faces should choose hairstyles which take some of the width and add length. Choose hairstyles which create the illusion of length. Have your hair cut just below your chin, or in graduated layers. Hair in short, one-length, blunt cuts should be avoided because it emphasizes the roundness of your face.
A square face. People with a square face have an angular jaw. They should choose the hairstyle which draws attention away from that jaw. Choose short curls or long layers starting just below the jaw line which put texture to your hair. Don’t have your hair cut in one-length bobs, bangs cut bluntly should also be avoided. Such hairstyles will draw attention to your square face.
A heart-shaped face. People with heart-shaped faces have a pointed chin. Heart-shaped faces look like lovely Valentines. The pointed chin draws attention away from the eyes that’s why you draw attention to your eyes. Side-swept bangs, a fringe on your brow or long layers at the top are recommended. To draw attention to your eyes you may have grown hair done with layers that touch your cheekbones.
There are two elements present in each hairstyle: layering and length. Layering draws attention to the best features of your face: the eyes, the lips or the cheekbones. It is better to have layers of your hair to the front of the face, rather than in the back. Don’t have your layers done too short. Hair layers should not fall above the eye or above the earlobes.
The length of your hair should be about your shoulders. Don’t have long hair fallen to the middle of the back and cut without any shape or layers if you are not a teenage girl. If you have a wish to wear long hair, wear it with layers around your face. The length of the hair should be cut to a round shape at the back, or a V-shape. You should not cut long hair straight and without any shape because these hairstyles make women either too mature or too young. If you want to have a sexy look you should do long hair with layers and with the ends shaped at the back.
