Baldness (alopecia), is a progressive hair loss, or absence of hair at all. Baldness is usually most noticeable on the scalp of the human, but can befall on that parts of the body where hair is. This disease is usually happens in men than in women.
The reasons of hair loss may be very different: numerous traumas, aging, illness, hormones changes, burns, propensity for baldness and so on. Such factors such as pregnancy, diet, medications, inappropriate hair care can also be the cause of provisional hair loss. 
Nevertheless baldness is not caused by: 1) dandruff 2) deficiency of vitamins 3) superfluous hat-wearing 4) hard up circulation to the scalp
Commonly, the earlier hair loss begins, the more severe the baldness will become later. So what are the most widespread types of baldness?This disease can be classified into different kinds, depending on the reasons of it.
The main types of baldness are:
- scarring baldness Scarred areas may prevent the hair from growing back. Scarring can befall from burns or injury. But other kinds of scarring that may be reason of hair loss can be caused by diseases such as fungal skin infections, skin cancer, lichen planus or tuberculosis.
- male baldness Male alopecia commonly starts with thinning at the hairline, followed by the appearance of a thinned or bald spot on the crown of the head. In fact, male baldness at most times is hereditary disease.
- female baldness Women with common baldness rarely develop bald patches. But they face with a diffuse thinning of hair.Female baldness rarely results in total hair loss.
