Long Hair Trimming

Long Hair Trimming
long-hairWe all know that widely spread problem of long hair is the split-ends. Split-ends can be treated with protein rich conditioners to strengthen the hair and with anti-frizz serums. They coat the hair and tie up the ends back together. But it is temporary. The only remedy for split ends is to have them cut off. Many women with long hair are terrified of going to the hairdressers to have the split ends trimmed off because they believe that they actually lose a lot more hair than they agree. Those who wish to trim their hair need to make sure that they use sharp hair trimming scissors since trimming the hair. With long, blunt-cut hair, trimming the ends of the hair is a simple matter of following the established line and removing the damaged ends. Yet with long-layered hairstyles, there is an alternative that works especially well.

Some instructions on long hair trimming:

- Trim long hair just after washing your hair.
- If the hair dries up instantly, keep a water spray bottle to spray water on the hair, when it gets dry.
- Divide your hair into two identical sections. Then bring them in the front. Make sure there are no tangles and your hair is combed straight. If your hair is curly, straighten them out a bit, spray little water and comb it straight.
- Hold the tip of one section of hair between your index and middle finger. The hair should be spread evenly between your fingers. Don’t hold them in a bunch. Place your fingers at the line from where you want to trim below.
- Keep your head straight. Pull the section of hair tightly and snip off very carefully, with the professional hair cutting scissors, in a straight line. Make sure your fingers that are holding the hair are straight and then, cut along the straight line.
- Begin by chopping off just less than an inch of hair. It is easier as the hair at the tips is usually a bit thinner. If you happen to inadvertently snip off some more portions from a strand, it can be balanced.
- If handling one thick half of the section is too much, divide that section into two halves. Then cut in a straight line. Do this with the other section of your hair and match the front strands of the two sections to ensure they are straight.
The result will be a smoother, healthier-looking style, with no loss of length or potential change in the style.
