In would like to star by just saying olive oil is a great product which does not only limit to cooking, but also has a lot to offer in other criteria as well.
It is used in many ways to take your body and mind one step closer to perfection. For those people who do not like to apply any kind of chemicals or any store bought products to themselves, olive oil is their main ingredient for almost every homemade remedy.
Olive oil is such oil that if added to any kind of remedy it will definitely increase the effect of that remedy.
Following are the step by step by step guidance of how to remove the olive oil from your hair:
1. Wash Hair With Shampoo and Conditioner
First of all you need to wash your hair thoroughly with a good shampoo and a conditioner. Just make sure you rinse out the shampoo from your hair otherwise it will remain there and cause oil problems for your hair. And make sure you do not put the conditioner on the scalp, just apply the conditioner to your strands of hair and also rinse the conditioner out properly for at least 30 seconds so that you can make sure there is no residue developing in your hair.
2. Repeat Rinsing if Felt Necessary
Again we cannot stress it enough how important it is to get the shampoo out of your hair and make sure it doesn’t get left behind.
3. Use a Clarifying Shampoo
You only need to use the clarifying shampoo only if washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner does not work keep that in mind. This kind of shampoo is expert in order to remove the toughest of residues that make home in your hair. This also include all the residue that is left behind by the using of hairspray, gel, wax chlorine or even olive oil hair mask and any other type of residue that might have stayed. You need to use a deep moisturizing conditioner after you are done washing your hair with the clarifying shampoo. The use of a clarifying shampoo can leave the hair dry and take all natural oils out of the hair and the scalp. In order for you to save your hair from dying out unnecessarily, start conditioning with a small amount and apply more if necessary.
4. A Little Dishwasher Detergent
If the hair is still greasy then you need to apply a little bit of liquid dishwasher detergent and apply it to damp hair. Usually detergents are very good in striping the oil from things and same can be done for the hair. While other shampoos and conditioners can only remove part of oils, the dishwasher detergent will clean it like a slate.
5. Rinse the Detergent
Again a very important step, this time it is more important than that for shampoo because it’s a dishwashing detergent and you do not need dishwasher detergent lying around in your head. It is recommended that you rinse it off with hot water and make sure it is completely out of your hair.
6. Baking Soda
Even after using the dishwasher detergent you are not able to remove the oil from your hair then mix some baking soda with some water and make some paste and apply it on your hair.
7. Coat Your Hair
Now you need to take the paste and coat your hair with it. It is recommended if you start from the roots of your hair and then go all the way towards the tip of your hair.
8. Cover Your Hair
Now what you need to do is cover your hair. There are many ways that you can accomplish this. You can either use a classic shower cap or you can also use a paper towel or you can even use a plastic bag. Basically you just need something clean to cover your hair with and prevent it from opening.
9. Let It Sit
Now that you have covered your hair worth plastic bag or a paper towel or a shower cap or whatever other source you have to cover your hair. You need to let it sit for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Within the 15 to 20 minutes the baking soda will work its magic towards removing the oil from your hair completely.
The most important step which we ask you not to forget to do properly is rinsing the baking soda out of your hair. It is recommended that you rinse the baking soda out of your hair with the help of warm water.
11. Repeat if Needed
Now if you still cannot get rid of the olive oil from your hair which is very highly unlikely like seriously one of the above mentioned steps are definitely going to make your hair dryer than a desert but still one in a billion chance if you still have some oil left in your hair then you are recommended to repeat those above mentioned steps until you get the result.
